Adrian Monk (Emmy-winner Tony Shalhoub) is a highly gifted detective whose career is jeopardized by his overwhelming fear of germs, crowds, small places, and almost everything else.... Monk's disorder was triggered by the murder of his beloved wife, Trudy. Ordered to take a leave of absence from the police department, Monk hires a nurse who helps him try to get reinstated on the force, and in the process, becomes an unlikely "Dr. Watson" to his "Sherlock Holmes." When the police department find themselves unable to crack a high-profile case, they have no choice but to bring back the only man for the job...phobias and all.

An Orlando, Florida native, Howard's first exposure to acting was appearing in commercials while in high school. She later graduated from Florida State University with a degree in communications and advertising and a minor in English. Howard went on to appear in over 30 national commercials before landing her first series role on the NBC comedy "Boston Common." She also starred in the ABC television series “Two Guys and a Girl” and the CBS series “Bram and Alice.”
Howard’s feature credits include “Me, Myself and Irene” opposite Jim Carrey and Renee Zellweger. She also appeared opposite Norm McDonald and Chevy Chase in the MGM feature “Dirty Work,” and in the Indy feature “Confessions of a Sexist Pig.” Most recently Howard completed filming on “The Mask II: Son of the Mask” with Jamie Kennedy and Alan Cumming.
Currently Traylor is married and lives in Los Angeles where she enjoys tennis, snow skiing, yoga and swimming.

Gray-Stanford was born and raised in Vancouver, Canada. He was trained in theater at the University of British Columbia before beginning his career in film and television.
After appearing in numerous Canadian and U.S. television shows, he got his first film break when David E. Kelley hired him to star in his film Mystery, Alaska. Gray-Stanford went on to co-star again opposite Russell Crowe in the Academy Award.-winning feature A Beautiful Mind.
Gray-Stanford co-stars in several episodes of Steven Spielberg's Taken, 20-hour epic mini-series for Sci Fi.
Captain Leland Stottlemeyer
Ted Levine
Best known for his role as the serial killer Buffalo Bill in the classic thriller The Silence of the Lambs, Levine has been seen in numerous films including Ironweed, with Jack Nicholson and Meryl Streep; Betrayed, with Debra Winger and Tom Berenger; Heat, with Al Pacino and Robert De Niro; Georgia with Jennifer Jason Leigh and Mare Winningham; Bullet, with Mickey Rourke; Wild, Wild West, with Will Smith and Kevin Kline; Ivan Reitman’s Evolution, with David Duchovny and Julianne Moore; and The Fast and the Furious, with Vin Diesel and Michelle Rodriguez. Levine was also in the Jonathan Demme thriller, The Truth About Charlie, with Mark Wahlberg and Thandie Newton.
Levine recently finished shooting two feature films, Wonderland opposite Val Kilmer and Kate Bosworth, and Birth opposite Nicole Kidman.

Shalhoub has established himself as one of the most talented character actors working today. His numerous feature film roles include Spy Kids, Galaxy Quest, The Siege, A Civil Action, Searching for Bobby Fischer, The Impostors, Primary Colors, Gattaca, Men in Black, Big Night, Barton Fink, Honeymoon in Vegas, Quick Change, Longtime Companion, 13 Ghosts and Life or Something Like It.
Shalhoub had an especially memorable role in USA Films The Man Who Wasn't There (Winner for Best Director-2001 Cannes International Film Festival) by Joel and Ethan Coen, starring Billy Bob Thornton and Frances McDormand.
Shalhoub made his feature directorial debut with the independent film Made Up, in which he costars with his wife Brooke Adams and Gary Sinise.
Shalhoub's television credits include starring in the telefilm remakes of Gypsy and That Championship Season, directed by Paul Sorvino. He was a series regular on the sitcoms “Stark Raving Mad” and the long-running hit series Wings.
Shalhoub won a Golden Globe Award and was also nominated for a Screen Actor’s Guild Award for his role as Adrian Monk in the show’s first season.
